Financial Information
Funding for our Trust, as with other Multi Academy Trusts, is provided by the Department of Education, through the Education Funding and Skills Agency, in accordance with our funding agreement with them. The Trust follows the Agency's guidance, including its Financial Handbook, and works closely with central government and the local education authority.
As an exempt charity the Trust has charitable status and is required to comply with Charity law.
The finances of the Trust are overseen by the Risk and Resources Committee which is informed by regular reports from the Trust's Chief Finance Officer (CFO). The Committee also undertakes the Audit Committee function, overseeing the Trust’s programme of internal scrutiny which provides independent assurance to the Trust Board that financial and non-financial controls and risk management procedures are operating effectively.
