Clair Owen – Trust SEND Lead

Clair started her career at The Castle School after qualifying as a teacher of Geography in 1998.  Since this time, she has had a variety of opportunities and has held different positions of responsibility within the school.  She was appointed as the school SENDCo in September 2011 and completed her National Award for SEN Co-ordination 2012.  She has worked as Trust SEND Lead since 2019 and has subsequently completed Attachment Lead in Schools training. 

Having had the opportunity to work across the different schools within the Trust, as well as supporting others within the local area and the Local Authority has only cemented her passion and determination around early identification of need so as to have the knowledge to ensure that any barriers that may exist for children and young people are removed, and they are given the best opportunity to succeed and reach their goals.
