Ben Brook – Chief Finance Officer

Ben joined the Uffculme Academy Trust in 2020 as the Director of Finance and Resources before being appointed as the Chief Finance Officer of the Blackdown Education Partnership at its inception. He is responsible for the Trust’s Finance and HR functions.

He gained significant experience in similar roles leading multi-disciplinary teams in Academy Trusts in Devon and was recognised as a Lead Practitioner for Business and Finance by the South West Teaching Alliance in his first post.

Ben has contributed to the education sector both as a Director of an Academy Trust and as a Governor of a local authority maintained secondary school.

Before moving to the public sector in 2009, he gained extensive commercial experience, most recently as General Manager of a group of department stores in the South West.
