Andrew Wootton - Headteacher, IKB Primary School

Andrew is the Headteacher at IKB Primary in Wellington.   He began this role in September 2024 having been Deputy Headteacher at a large primary in Devon and Head of School in a first school in Dorset.   Prior to teaching in primary schools, Andrew learnt lots about the importance of communication and building relationships when teaching English in Italy and Japan.  

Andrew is focussed on building meta-cognitive skills amongst pupils at IKB, helping them to love literature and ensuring they have the oracy skills to be respectful, curious and articulate global citizens.
